In 2011, our founders Dominik and Thomas spent afternoons packing pre-portioned recipe ingredients for their community. Their purpose? To test a new way to get home cooked meals on tables around the world.
Little by little, their experiment became a real business that changed the way people eat. Since then, HelloFresh went from a small start-up to a sustainably profitable, publicly traded company (listed in 2017), spanning 18 countries, multiple business lines and shipping over 1 billion meals every year to its customers.
Despite our immense success to date, we remain as ambitious as on Day 1. With the capabilities we built over the last twelve years, we have a big advantage to go after a number of additional consumer categories and expand our share in existing verticals.
We operate with an "ExecutionCo" mindset, emphasizing detailed planning, tacticial precision, and execution excellence. Our leaders are deeply involved in both the "what" and "how" of achieving goals.
Our effective leaders dedicate significant time to deep strategic thinking. This includes building healthy teams, analyizing long-term goals, understanding market trends, and continously optimizing our operational as well as business strategies.
I am very grateful for the immense learning opportunities I have been given at HelloFresh. My #1 tip would be: create meaningful connections with your local and global stakeholders. Proactively reach out, learn from their experiences and build a positive working relationship with them.
